Install Adobe Reader 9 from Ubuntu Software Center
1. Goto Application –>Ubuntu Software Center.
2. Enter Adobe Reader in Search box and hit enter.
3. Click Install button.It will automatically download and install packages.
Install Adobe Reader 9 from Synaptic Package Manager
1. Goto System–>Administration–>Synaptic Package Manager.
2. Then search for “adobe reader” and check the left box for installation.
3. Next,Click on Apply to install adobe reader on your ubuntu 10.04 lucid lynx.
4. Thats it now you can read PDF files in Adobe Reader 9.
Install Adobe Reader from Command Line
1. Goto Applications–>Accessories–>Terminal.
2. Type the following command,
sudo apt-get install acroread

It will prompt for Password just enter password to proceed installation.
