I still remember how hard it was back when I was trying to get my driver’s license. But the fact is you can’t get by in today’s world without driving. For just about everything you do, you need a car. This means only one thing – you need to get your permit as soon as possible. That’s just the way the world is. But before you do, there is, of course, the test. If you aren’t prepared, then the test can be a huge problem for you! Practice tests are a great way to learn everything you need, but trust me, they can be pricey.
So I decided to go out of my way and do a little research to see if there’s a way to get some real practice without breaking the bank. I’m an avid app user and since we live in a world where there’s an app for almost anything, I took a wild guess there might be apps for DMV tests as well. After exploring obvious sites like App Store and Google Play, I stumbled upon some great DMV Test apps on this particular site that neatly organizes them so it’s easy to find what you need.
Best 10 DMV Test Prep Apps by AppGrooves
I’ll provide my reviews of the 3 apps I believe are the best.
Prepare Yourself Thoroughly with DMV Hub
Without knowing the ins and outs of driving, you will never pass that test. I’m sorry to say that, but it’s true. What I think is great about DMV Hub is it will ensure that you know all of ins and outs with its 500 practice questions that cover 19 topics. There may not be that many questions on the actual test, but it’s better safe than sorry.
I need to be honest, at first, it did feel a bit overwhelming, but after about 30 minutes of testing the apps, I discovered a couple of features that make everything more user-friendly. For example, when you miss a question, you are given feedback about where you went wrong so that you can really understand the questions. You can even customize questions so that you can take the test your way. This will likely come in handy for those of you who want to focus on a specific field like street signs or driving technics.
Although you can’t know if the questions you get with this app will be on the actual test, it does feel extremely encouraging to double check your knowledge. I found this app to be the best one to check how much you exactly know before taking the test. So if you want to test your overall knowledge and learn something new as you go, this app might be the way to go.
Have Fun Learning with DMV Permit Practice Test 2018 Edition
Learning to drive can be boring. Honestly, let’s face it, learning anything can be boring. But there is no reason that learning to drive has to be. Compared to other apps, this one seems to be the most fun one to use. It does a pretty good job at turning the whole process into a game where you feel like winning by answering the questions correctly.
You will learn in a snap if you decide to go with this one because you won’t only be learning, you will be having fun! I found myself constantly thinking “ok, one more question and that’s it”. There’s just something about the way the app is designed that makes it sort of fun. If nothing else, it definitely takes the stress off when the day finally comes.
The app does offer fewer questions than DMV Hub, but the design is great and simple to use. So if you need a bit of motivation to help you learn, you should probably go with this one. I’m guessing more younger audience that’s trying to get their driver’s license will enjoy this one the most.
Learn Your State’s Rules with DMV Practice Test 2018
One thing that you may not know about the driver’s test is that it is not the same in every state. Yes, I was surprised as well. Of course, the basic are same no matter in which state you live, but each one has small details that make the test different. So, it follows that you can’t completely use any old practice test when preparing for the real deal. You have to know your state’s laws to pass the test and to be safe on the road. This app offers practice tests for each and every state in the USA; that way your learning experience is personalized and accurate.
Whether you are driving a car or riding a motorcycle, I think you can take something out of this app. It also has fewer questions than the first one and it doesn’t have the fun aspect of the second, but it’s really cool considering they decided to tailor questions based on the states. Finally, as far as I understand, I believe they are regularly updating whenever a change comes. So that’s another big plus. The final verdict is this: if you feel you need highly specific questions, go with this one.
This is my top 3 apps I found to help you prepare for your DMV test. I hope you’ll find it helpful and that it will make it far easier to pass the actual test. I know I thought to myself while reviewing how great it would’ve been if I had at least one app to help me on my journey. But hey, I passed and I know you will as well. With a little bit of help, how couldn’t you?
