At the iPhone 6 event held on 19th September Apple announced that it will be giving away U2’s new ‘Songs of Innocence’ album to all iTunes users. The company lived up to its promise and to the joy of U2 fans the new album has started showing up on everyone’s iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Many users find iOS device is annoyingly showing the Songs of Innocence in music library unnecessarily and wanted to get rid off this.
If you would like U2’s “Songs of Innocence” removed from your iTunes music library and iTunes purchases, you can choose to have it removed. Once the album has been removed from your account, it will no longer be available for you redownload as a previous purchase. If you later decide, you will need to get it again.
Steps to Remove U2 “Songs of Innocence” Music Album:
Simple follow the below simple steps to get rid off this annoying album.
- Go to http://itunes.com/soi-remove in Safari browser.
- Click Remove Album.
- Sign in with the Apple ID and password.
- You’ll see a confirmation message that the album has been removed from your account.
Your devices and computer should automatically update to reflect this deletion. If you have already downloaded the songs to iTunes or an iOS device, you now need to delete them manually. If you still see the album in your library goto Settings –> iTunes & App Store and Sign out of iTunes and check the Music library U2’s new ‘Songs of Innocence’ album will be gone.!!!
