Problem:
Your backup folder MIGHT be visible to the public.
To correct this issue, move the .htaccess file from wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager to /home/websitename/public_html/wp-content/backup-db.
Solution:
I was facing the above mentioned problem when I migrated Techpraveen from Blogger to WordPress platform with the help of Harsh 🙂 . I was getting the error message at the top of my dashboard.
In order to fix this problem do the following :
1. Use FTP and download htaccess.txt file to your local computer from /wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager folder.
2. Then using FTP upload that file to the /home/websitename/public_html/wp-content/backup-db folder and rename the file .htaccess
Note:
We are renaming htaccess.txt to .htacess and moving to a new location.Delete htaccess.txt from wp-dbmanager folder. 😉
That’s it 🙂 Now your annoying error message in WordPress dashboard is fixed 😉
I can,t face such problem but its a nice new addition of information for me
This is great way of trouble shooting and now I can guide any if he faces this problem.
